Bridal Face Pack/Ubtan:
After using this, you will forget those parlours and their highly expensive treatments. We, in India prefer to use herbal things on our beautiful brides to reveal their inner glow and beauty. This Bridal Face pack has all things natural and will brighten the complexion, remove all dead skin cells and dark spots with a continuous use.
These ingredients are highly available at all Indian kitchens and so making this powder is really easy for us. All you need to do is mix everything together in equal amounts and store it in any clean container. As there is no water involved in this, it will be fresh for months.
Before using this mix it with Milk (for dry skin) or Rose water (for oily skin)
Though it is a bridal pack (made for brides especially), you can still use it instead of your regular face pack and see the difference for some uses.
Herbal Hair Removal:
If you are really tired of going to the parlor, you can simply use this home remedy that can help you get rid of unwanted facial hair. We Indians are typically hairy (yes! We are) and from ages, this remedy is used by the ladies here.
Take 1 tablespoon of Gram flour and add 1 tablespoon of Liquorice powder. Add a pinch of turmeric as it has antiseptic properties in it. Make it a thick paste by mixing coconut oil with it. Make sure there is no water involved in the mixture.
Apply this in a thick layer to the parts of your face and body and keep on for 15-20 minutes. Rub the pack in the opposite direction of your facial hair growth and within some uses, you will see a drastic difference in your hair growth rate. Even after some months, the hair growth will be reduced to a great level.
Due to the presence of turmeric, no rashes and acne are expected, still, if you have sensitive skin, do a patch test.
Hair Growth Magic:
Indians are known for their thick and black hair. Here’s how!
Take 2 tablespoons of Indian Gooseberry powder and add 2 tablespoons of Fenugreek powder. Add 1 egg and half a lemon into it. Mix the mixture well. Add yogurt into it to make it a hair mask like consistency. Apply it on your scalp and keep it for 45 minutes to an hour. Wash off your hair with a mild shampoo and conditioner.
Indian Gooseberry and Fenugreek help control hair fall and make hair strong and thick. It also helps in hair regrowth. Yogurt helps to condition your hair and lemon helps to prevent dandruff. The egg helps to bring shine and luster to your hair.
Well, that’s it! These are just some of the numerous beauty secrets we Indians have. For this article, I have asked numerous grandmothers of mine to get an idea of the secrets and these are some practices we do till date. I hope this article helps in some way!
